Fees, in plain numbers
Joining GigMint is free. Clients pay the price they see. Freelancers pay a fee on each payment they receive.
For clients
There is no service fee and no card-processing charge on top of a service's price, a project budget or a milestone.
- You pay by card, through Stripe, when you order a service or hire for a project.
- The payment is held securely and released to the freelancer only when you approve the work, or automatically 7 days after delivery if you do not respond.
- If an order is cancelled, or a dispute is decided in your favour, the refund goes back to your card.
For freelancers
When a payment is released to you, two amounts are deducted:
- GigMint fee: 10% of the order price.
- Card processing: 2.9% of the order price + $0.30 (Stripe's published rate).
Each fee is rounded to the cent. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe; set them up under Settings → Get paid.
