Cookie Policy
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. GigMint uses a few of them to keep you signed in and to protect your account. This page lists every cookie gigmint.ai sets.
Cookies we always set
These are needed for the site to work, so they are set without asking. They come from GigMint, are not shared with advertisers and are not used to follow you on other sites.
| Cookie | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
laravel_session |
Your session: keeps you signed in as you move between pages and carries short messages from one page to the next. | Ends after 2 hours without activity |
XSRF-TOKEN |
Security: proves that a form or button press came from a GigMint page, which protects your account from cross-site request forgery. | Ends after 2 hours without activity |
remember_web_… |
Set only if you tick "Remember me" when you sign in, so you stay signed in on this device. Removed when you sign out. | Up to 400 days |
guppy_auth_token |
Set when you sign in, so your Messages inbox can load your conversations. Removed when you sign out. | 30 days |
user_visit_counts |
Remembers which services, projects and freelancer profiles you opened during this visit, so each one is counted once in the view counts freelancers see. | Until you close your browser |
Our pages also keep one short note in your browser's session storage (not a cookie): the time a page last reloaded itself after being left open too long, so it doesn't reload in a loop. It is cleared when you close the tab.
Analytics and advertising
GigMint does not use analytics or advertising cookies at the moment. If that changes, we will ask for your permission before setting any, and list them here.
Your choices
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cookies we always set, you won't be able to sign in or pay.
Other services
- Payments. When you pay, you enter your card on Stripe's own checkout page. Stripe sets its cookies there under the Stripe cookie policy; GigMint does not see your card details.
- Videos. Some services and projects include a video from YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode, youtube-nocookie.com) or Vimeo (with "do not track" on). When you play one, the player is run by YouTube or Vimeo under their own policies.
