How GigMint works

For clients: You pay the listed price up front. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and the freelancer is paid when you approve the delivery.

For freelancers: Clients pay before you start, securely through Stripe. You can see that every order is paid, and you are paid when the client approves your delivery.

02 Every order, step by step

Services, projects and custom offers all become an order with the same four steps. The bottom row shows where the money is at each one.

03 Projects pay out milestone by milestone

For clients: When you hire from a proposal, you fund the whole contract up front. Each milestone is released on its own when you approve it, so you only release money for work you have seen.

For freelancers: When a client hires you from a proposal, they fund the whole contract before you start. You submit each milestone, and each one is released to you when it is approved.

Each milestone runs the same four steps, with its own 7-day auto-approval after it is submitted.

04 If something goes wrong

Most problems are fixed with a message and a revision. If not, there are two ways out, and nothing is paid out until one of them finishes.

05 Fees, in one picture

Joining and posting are free. Clients pay the listed price and nothing on top. Freelancers pay a 20% GigMint fee and card processing (2.9% + $0.30) out of each payment they receive.

06 What keeps it fair

Reviews from real orders

Only a client with a completed order can leave a review. A freelancer who joined in the last 30 days and has none yet is marked "New on GigMint".

A person settles disputes

Disputes are decided by someone on our team who reads the whole order, not by an automatic rule.

Card details stay with Stripe

Payments are processed by Stripe. GigMint never sees or stores your full card number. Freelancers are paid out through Stripe to their bank.

One account for both sides

Hire and sell with the same account. Switch between Buying and Selling whenever you like.
